Description: "Freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication" ... great concept and great phrase ripped directly from Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Let's take bets on whether or not anything resembling this statement is practiced during the 2008 Olympic Games. Are all Chinese media controlled by the government? Will all foreign media be under the influence of China's internal media practices... during the Games? Following the Games? I'm sure there will be some interesting reading in the "Op Ed" columns internationally on the subject during the Olympics.
